Lushay Mohabir Started karate in April 2011 after seeing a Bunkai done by Mauro Sensei. It caught his eye and he knew it was something he wanted to pursue and he joined the Durban Dojo headed by Mauro Sensei. Ever since, he has been under the close teachings and guidance of Mauro Sensei and received his Shodan just 5 and a half years later in September 2016 from the headmaster of the school Kancho Rony Kluger and his Dojo Head Mauro Sensei at a Durban Gashuku. He was promoted to Nidan three years later in March 2019 at a Cape Town Gashuku from a panel of senior instructors from Cape Town. On 30 March, 2025, Lushay-sensei was again promoted, this time to Sandan. (Third dan.)
Sensei Lushay assumed the ‘Dojo Head’ role following sensei Mauro Pereira’s emigration to Portugal.
