Started Karate in April 2011 after seeing a Bunkai done by Mauro Sensei, it caught his eye and he knew it was something he wanted to pursue and then joined the Durban Dojo headed by Mauro Sensei, ever since he has been under the close teachings and guidance of Mauro Sensei and received his Shodan just 5 and a half years later in September 2016 from the headmaster of the school Kancho Rony Kluger and his Dojo Head Mauro Sensei at a Durban Gashuku, then received Nidan 3 years later in March 2019 at a Cape Town Gashuku from a panel of senior instructors from Cape Town.
Sensei Lushay assumed the ‘Dojo Head’ role following sensei Mauro Pereira’s emigration to Portugal.
